Position Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to lead our sales initiatives in the industrial automation sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation solutions such as PLCs, robotics, motion control, SCADA, or factory automation and proven expertise in building relationships with OEMs, system integrators, and end-users.
You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, expanding our customer base, and driving sustainable revenue growth in a fast-evolving technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve business objectives within the automation industry.
- Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities with OEMs, EPCs, and industrial clients.
- Collaborate with the technical and engineering teams to provide tailored automation solutions that meet client requirements.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts, partners, and distributors.
- Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging technologies, trends, and market opportunities.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for senior management.
- Represent the company at industry trade shows, exhibitions, and customer events.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or Automation preferred); MBA is an advantage.
- 5–8 years of experience in sales or business development within the industrial automation or robotics domain.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in B2B technical sales.
- Strong understanding of automation products and solutions (e.g., PLCs, HMIs, drives, sensors, control panels, robotics, etc.).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into customer value propositions.
- Willingness to travel extensively within assigned regions.
